BioLite SunLight 100
During a field visit to test prototypes of SolarHome 620, BioLite’s designers saw that small solar lanterns were everywhere in emerging markets. These low cost lanterns provided significant value to customers who normally purchased kerosene (which is relatively expensive and gives off poor lighting quality). Seeing how useful these products were to customers in emerging markets, BioLite thought a portable solar lantern could be the basis of a great product for both of our communities. In the outdoor recreation market, users would never have to live in fear of running out of light at the campsite ever again.
The BioLite SunLight 100 is a 100 lumen self charging lantern that fits in the palm of your hand. The SunLight’s integrated solar panel creates self-reliant recharging - just one charge provides up to 50 hours of light. Using BioLite’s Optimal Sun System, SunLight features an analog sundial and 360 kickstand to maximize efficiency and help users understand where to place the panel to get the most charge from the sun. With full RGB color spectrum, users can cycle through the
different modes to create a fun, colorful atmosphere. A highly effective personal light, it packs easily and is perfect for campsites, wayfinding, and even a little bit of fun. SunLight is simple and unbelievably easy to use with no learning curve.
BioLite packed in a bunch of lighting functionality and programmed a single button to achieve multiple modes. The result is a great entry lantern for kids to use in the backyard or for campers staying off-grid for days at a time.
