~ Often the hands will solve a mystery that the intellect has struggled with in vain. ~
This photoshoot took inspiration from the constant struggles of life and how they pull us in so many different directions. There is so much to life that we simply can't balance. This is a visual representation of those parts of life that may consume us. The main visual idea specifically was inspired by the helping hand scene in Jim Henson's The Labyrinth.
The concept started with some preliminary sketches and some rough concepts formed. I then got a bunch of friends together and hand a hand painting party to complete the shoot. Even with the heavy subject matter, we had a fun time doing it.
