Whether or not it’s summertime, sunscreen is important for your skin. Sunscreen helps protect the skin against harmful UV rays from the sun. In the African American community, there is a big misconception that because of the melanin that is in our skin, sunscreen isn’t a necessity. That isn’t true. These posters are meant to inform the African American community about the need to wear sunscreen. They were created and sized with the idea that they would exist in public spaces.
