Contemporary Art: Tactile Nature Expression

"I could not feel, so I tried to touch, but I never come just to fool you"
                                                          - Hallelujah, Leonard Cohen-

During June of 2021, I started on a new project to explore the ordinary beauty of the flowers on the balcony of my house and other neighbors'. I worked on A1 paper and made mark with different tools, movement, pressure to act like I am the plants, the flowers, to understand their orientation and gesture. Then I tried to close my eyes, then touched them, felt them in my hands and create marks that mimic the tactile sensation I experienced. After a while I opened my eyes and started to develop the drawing from what I have on paper.

Above are some interesting passages of many big drawings I did out-door on my balcony.

Then I explore the color pallete of my garden. The colors are quite clashing and not very pleasant to look at, but they attract insects, so their purpose is met. Below are some small pieces of studies I did to combine different drawing and painting materials to extend their potentials. Rubbing, layering, carving back out,... a lot of motion.

Still updating. Thank you for your viewing my project.
