I really wanted to make an illustration to celebrate Metroid Dread's announcement, but I hadn't found the time until now. We're close to the game launch now, and I finally got to make it, and I really enjoy the result.

This illustration happened after I watched a very useful tutorial by Andrew Trabbold, and I got quite a few tips from him. I wanted to attempt a similar type of composition to the one he made in that tutorial, and then Metroid came to mind. It was a perfect setting for this.
