Getaway for a true Parisian

Visited Deauville a few weeks ago. This was actually Coco Chanel's favorite beach destination in France and she opened her first boutique here. Created for aristocrats, by aristocrats, - Deauville didn't amaze me as much as the stories about it.
Well, for starters - we couldn't park our car anywhere for almost 40 minutes. When we finally got the spot, - another adventure called 'trying to take a nice shot whilst standing in a middle of a tourist apocalypse' began. I literally had to shoot on a open aperture all day because every time I was trying to get a shot, - a group of tourists approached me. Oh . What about the famous beach? Well, imagine Time's Square having and ocean and a +30 C weather. And I still think Deauville would have had more visitors..
Being a small town ( even a village) , - it is simply incapable of hosting the amount of tourists it has.
If you're planning a trip there, - try going in late September during a weekday.
Couldn't resist sharing some photos from my trip though, - they turned out to be pretty amazing. The village is definitely worth visiting for a day or two. The architecture is outstanding, it almost seems like you're in a fairy tale.
And, oh my God, - the food is so delicious that i remember every dish we tried even after a month.
Got a lot of inspiration there but still a little bit disappointed ( maybe I didn't have to get my hopes up).
Love, Di.
