STILL LIFE – Pencil Shading

MEDIUM

For this Project, I have used Different Graphite pencils ranging from 3H to 8B in order to produce various tonal ranges to replicate the photograph as realistic as possible. For highlights I have used the paper white and Eraser.

COMPLEXITIES

 I struggled a little on shading the jug in producing the Glossy texture and also in the background part to produce a smooth gradient. I managed to overcome this by using different range of pencils and by using the kneaded eraser appropriately.

OUTCOME OF THIS PROJECT

At the end of the project I had a better understanding of the use of erasers for creating highlights and also I had the opportunity to work on different materials like Glossy texture on bottle, Cloth texture, Etc. and it improved my skills on various basis.
