My aim was to expose the nitty gritty of Dominican self-concept and foreign policy, especially in relation to Haiti and the United States. Conceptually, the bank notes examine the structural framework of these sociopolitical constructs and engages consumers in a dialogue about the identity and growing pains of the Dominican Republic's post-colonial context.
