RESEARCH PHASE
I started off by doing a competitive benchmarking, to understand how best-in class platforms solve the problem I am trying to solve, see what they are doing really well that I can emulate, what they are not doing so well and finally what conventions have been established that I need to follow. I also sent out online surveys to get more of a quantitative feedback and to also get a more unstructured, unmeasured and real deep insights, I ran a usability test sessions with users on some existing platforms and took down notes.

ANALYSIS PHASE
Research data (Competitive Benchmark, Online Survey, Usability Test Notes and Usability Test Videos) was shared earlier with a team made up of 3 persons, to jot down detailed findings from their observation, and work together in a room to properly define, analyze and structure data. From our analysis we were able to build an Affinity Diagram,
DESIGN PHASE
Once we were done defining, analyzing and putting structure to our data gotten from our research, I was now able to come up with a user journey map and a flow diagram. I also was able to hand sketch the various forms of interactions the user will have on the platform.

PROTOYPING, USABILITY TEST & WIREFRAMES PHASE
With my hand sketch designs, I was now able to start building a medium fidelity prototype which can be used for usability test with different users. Once this was completed and iterations were made to the designs, I updated the designs from the feedback gotten during the prototype usability test, worked on my wireframes and shared with the entire team.
