Creative Self Editing

As a marketing analyst at Drawww Media, I created a lot of presentations for our team's Wednesday learning sessions. These sessions were a portal to share our learnings with others and gain knowledge collectively as a team. I wanted to make these presentations as a fun way of doing the above. Those were my days of wanting to be a designer and I loved QUIRK very much personally. Most of them were slides that complimented my verbal explanations, hence they are mostly just designed and less contextual. However, I am adding the content in the text boxes below each slide. All the presentations are made on Canva.
Self-Editing can be a tedious task that a writer usually prefers to procrastinate until the 11th hour. One of the reasons for this could be that it's not creative, it's logical. But it doesn't have to be boring. I researched and came up with a process that could add creativity to self-editing your prose and copies.

Writing is a process and an art. Words should come intuitively to you but the purpose and direction of what those words convey should always be crystal clear. Whenever, you are stuck with something, taking a healthy break is always refreshing. Just be true to yourself if it is really a break or if you are just procrastinating.
Masaledar is Indian for Spicy. When you sit to edit, does your headline catch your attention or is it something you ignore and jump to the main text for editing? Always make your first impression worth falling for. If it doesn't engage you, it won't engage your audience.
Having a niche target audience is always better than having a generic one. Your piece can get camouflaged in a sea full of content. Remember to pop in catchy phrases and strong, assertive sentences in your prose too. Maybe having them at the beginning or end of your paragraphs will help catch the attention or retain it better.
There is no perfect prose and you could always keep digging and digging. But only you can realize the threshold of the prose and finalize it. As long as it conveys the meaning with a powerful impact, you are good to go.

Repeated phrases can make content boring and it's known to rank lower on SERPs too. Repeated phrases can be confused as keyword stuffing and lowers your SEO score. So go on and get creative with your writing again.
Hope that creative self-editing is more effective and enjoyable than your regular ways of editing.
