The Modern Political Map of The World

World Map Edition

According to McArthur's political stance on the world was rethought in terms of the concepts like borders and shortcuts, centers and peripheries, localization and globalization and consumerism. As a result, the world map was recreated.

"In his re-edited world map, McArthur wants to emphasize his discomfort with the original map. That's why I thought I must have a problem with the original map, and I started to study the original map.

“I wonder what bothers me on this map?” I asked the question and started to think about this question. Later on, I realized that the borders of other states do not have much of a function for the states that dominate the world today. They can always hide behind an excuse and exploit any place they want, as if there are no borders.

In fact, these expansionist states are so hypocritical that when a problem arises in the world, they become the most indomitable defenders of state borders. The reason for this is that they have to protect these borders that they have drawn for their own benefit in order to continue their own benefits. This is why we see hundreds of unnecessary lines on the world political map. When we remove all these lines and see the areas outside the expansionist states only with their geographical features, we can understand how the imperialists see the world.

Areas outside their borders are important to them only for geographical reasons such as energy source and strategic location. Neither the name nor the political status of the others means anything to them, and even their own names do not matter. Their own state is just a tool for them. Although the names of the expansionists change, their purpose always remains the same."

Notes:
I tried to capture a darker tone with colors and textures, as the subject in the image I prepared was something I did not like and criticized. Before I started to prepare the image, I did not think that geographical areas should be colorless, but when I tried this, I saw that I got a better result both visually and semantically. The phrase that imperialist states see the areas outside their borders only with their geographical features has also been added to the meaning that they see others outside themselves as colorless and the same. I also changed the name for the map that I had thought of before, because when I put the title of imperialist, I thought that no one would take this word for it. However, in the new title I put, I can blame all politics and politicians. :D
