"Bring In 'Da Players, Bring In 'Da Creatives" is a visual identity project designed to showcase the creativeness and aesthetic nature of the Super Smash Bros content community.
With flashing, bright colors, bold typeface and font choices rotated around, sized up and down and combined in all kinds of ways in combination with the familiar characters that we've grown up with in perhaps weird, expressive or even funny poses all put together form an inviting, nice to look at insight into what makes out the entire media community itself—

Coming together to create awesome content for people to enjoy
This pays a huge homage to the design campaign for "Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk", made by my design inspiration, Paula Scher, for The Public Theater.

As she describes, The Public Theater is overall very artsy and expressive, which is reflected perfectly in their performances. In 1994 she helped to capture this typical New York "Loud & Proud" feeling by creating a wordmark with many different letter widths and weights to reflect all of the different inhabitants of the city.

From then on "Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk" and many other design series have since been made for it and even today the public theater is considered to have one of the best visual identities in the world of design.
This story and design direction was too perfect not to take inspiration from for this project and so I decided to base this series of graphics off of the original premise from about 25 years ago and reinvent it.
The goal of the project was not necessarily to create a typical design system— instead creating a whole cluster of images that can be taken as a group or on their own and give the feeling of "Hey, that's funky, that's cool, I get who is behind this"
