Judgement

Strange commotions shake the halls, until every wall is taken down into dust. From the mist of destruction and confusion, animated hands reach for my limbs to hold them in place. Three more keep my head still, pointed towards a great barrage of eyes. Bigger and smaller, each stares and blinks on its own.

Once the mist is vanquished, they all turn towards me and within I see myself, my frail carcass, the broken mask that I was given. And from all those reflections of self, words come on their lips, breaking on the surface of the crystal iris under the aspect of tears.

So I stood before this silent trial. I endured the disgrace and mocking until my argument was filled with enough hatred to break the vile mirrors that sentenced me responsible for my imperfections.

-Dare you judge me? –I yelled from the depths of my soul.

The eye in front of me is splintered by my shout and cries no more. I can no longer see what it sees. Only a faint breeze comes from its cracks. Cold to the touch, it melts whispers in my ears.

-It is insanity that brings forth all this unholy faith. Nothing more, nothing less… You are a destroyer. Nothing more, nothing less…

-So easily you discard me into nothingness, striping me of my purpose. Are you not a destroyer yourself?

This being said, a new breeze rushes trough the eye, warmer than the first.

-And what is the purpose of you, wretched, dirty flesh? Do you have anything to offer?

The broken eye shatters fully, leaving a hole with razor sharp teeth in its place. It bites at the void that makes it starve.
