Presented works provide a photo collage of one of the most important historical figures and orator for me. In general, I have always been interested in a given period of American history, with its artistic, political, and social history. The 60s of the last century were a difficult and turning point for coloured people. Unfortunately, in today's reality, such topic as racism still appears. So I decided to express reality by visual elements.
In the first collage, I wanted to show the character of Martin Luther King, Jr., as the leader and shepherd of coloured people. The background is covered with old newspapers describing the events that took place at that time.
The second collage is a photo of large-scale rallies after the tragic story of George Floyd in 2020.The butterfly, which is partly black and white and partly colored, is a sign of changes. The color part depicts the changes, while the black-and-white part depicts existing problems that still need to be eliminated.
