THE LINKS BETWEEN THE HORSE AND THE HUMAN
The domestication of the horse by humans goes back nearly 6,000 years. Since then, the relationship between man and horse has taken various forms.
For this long-term project I chose to follow a young rider who is passionate about this very special link between man and horse. It's been a little more than 6 years since Selya and Blue (a 10 year old chestnut trotter) met. Selya fell in love with Blue from their first meeting, and this love is still very present.
Selya works a lot on animal communication. That is, she tries to see, understand and feel what Blue is thinking and feeling.For this she relies heavily on footwork (which is the basis for establishing a relationship of trust). When Blue succeeds in the exercise that Selya asks of her, she does not hesitate to reward her to make her understand that this is what she wanted
