It started with our anxiety
Dogs have been a part of our lives for a long time. As dogs are our precious family, we began to feel anxious.
When you go out for a walk, dogs may get hurt by fighting with another dog or bite something else due to various factors.
Joyda started with our anxiety like this.
개들은 우리 삶의 일부가 된 지 오래되었습니다. 소중한 우리 가족인 만큼, 우리는 불안해지기 시작했죠.
산책 등 외출을 할 때 다른 반려견과 싸워 다치거나 혹은 여러 요인들에 의해 우리의 반려견이 다른 것을 물 수 있으니까요.
Joyda는 이런 우리의 불안감에서 시작했습니다.
3 keywords of Dog bite accidents
So we carefully analyzed the dog bite accident and derived three keywords.
First, the fundamental fear of strangers or other beings of dogs.
Second, dog bites often occur not only in large dogs but also in small dogs.
Lastly, dog bites occur very quickly in unexpected situations.
문제의 핵심인 개 물림 사고를 면밀히 분석하여 문제 요소를 크게 3가지로 나타낼 수 있었습니다.
첫번째로, 낯선 사람이나 다른 존재에 대한 개들의 근본적인 두려움.
두번째, 개 물림 사고는 대형견 뿐만 아니라 소형견들 에게도 자주 일어납니다.
마지막으로, 개 물림 사고는 예상치 못한 상황에서 아주 빠르게 일어난다는 거죠.

입을 쉽사리 벌리지 못하는 답답함, 시각적으로 보이는 불안감까지,
그럼에도 입마개는 필요하죠. 개에게 공포심을 느끼는 사람들도 존재하니까요.

Design Concepts
Solution
Joyda consists of a muzzle that works automatically and a smart sensor clip that helps it do its job.
Joyda는 자동 동작하는 입마개와, 그 역할을 돕는 스마트 센서 클립의 총 두 가지로 구성되어 있습니다.
The muzzle is made from a woven mesh material to minimize the discomfort dog will feel, making it look more comfortable and active.
입마개는 개가 느낄 불편감을 최소화하기 위해 직물 메쉬 소재를 차용하여 보다 편안하고 활동적이게 보이도록 했습니다.
At the bottom, there is a ‘stepping stone’ part that allows the muzzle to move flexibly.
하단부의 ‘징검다리’ 파트는 입마개가 조여지거나 벌어지는 것을 유연하게 움직일 수 있게 해줍니다.
Inside, strings moved by motors help tighten the muzzle.
내부에는 모터에 의해 움직이는 끈들이 입마개를 조여주는데 도움을 줍니다.
Smart Sensor Clip
The clip, which can be attached to the existing dog collar, detects the
dog's biosignals at all times and enables the muzzle motor to automatically operate.

기존의 개 목걸이에 장착할 수 있는 클립은 반려견의 생체 신호를
항시 감지하여 입마개의 모터가 자동으로 작동할 수 있게 합니다.

The LED on the front panel displays the clip's battery status or the dog's
current mood according to color, allowing you to understand the situation intuitively.
전면부 LED는 클립의 배터리 상황이나 반려견의 현재 기분 상태를
색상에 따라 표시해 상황을 직관적으로 파악하게 해줍니다.
An optical heart rate sensor is attached to the back of the muzzle to collect bio-signals and receive an attack situation on the muzzle to activate
the muzzle's motor. At the same time, it supports Qi standard wireless charging, allowing wireless charging.
후면에 광학 심박 센서가 생체 신호를 수집하고 입마개에 공격상황을 수신하여 입마개의 모터가 작동되도록 합니다.
동시에 Qi표준 무선충전을 지원하여 무선으로 충전이 가능합니다.
a. Wear the Joyda on the dog.

c. When a certain heart rate is exceeded, data is recieved by muzzle and tightened.
일정 심박수를 넘어가면 신호를 입마개로 수신해 입마개가 조여집니다.
Application
The user can directly control the muzzle in conjunction with the smartphone application.
You can also see the pet's heart rate and mood through infographic and use the walking community.

또한 반려견의 심박수와 기분을 인포그래픽으로 파악하며 산책 커뮤니티를 활용할 수 있습니다.
Logo
The logo is designed with the message that it represents a deeper bond and harmony between dogs and people,
meaning that the two individuals are in harmony by high-fiving.
로고는 반려견과 반려인의 더 깊은 유대와 화합을 나타낸다는 메시지를 담아
두 개체가 하이파이브 하여 화합한다는 의미를 담아 디자인되었습니다.
