IOW 300.1 - Type & Editorial Design REDO
Project Brief
We were commissioned to create an original typeface by the type foundry, A Moment in Type. To celebrate the power of story (their theme for 2021), they have asked that the typeface be inspired by a character from a film or novel. An A3 poster with the front showcasing the alphabetic order of your typeface letterforms and the reverse content-driven layout that builds an engaging narrative (a story, interview, memoir) around it is the main focus of this project. It should be a promotional item for A Moment in Type themselves.

Design Strategy
My redo entailed me reworking this project's core elements I had already established but just enhancing the finished product. A big thing I decided to fix was the reverse side of the A3 poster because when I originally designed it at the beginning of 2021, it was shocking. I went over the original copy and tweaked it to be a lot more humourous and colloquial because I feel it worked better for the project and the previous copy I has written sat in-between colloquial and journalistic, so I needed to pick a side. I also tweaked the mockups and the presentation of my vertical narrative quite a bit to push the project further.
