Confined: A Visual Story On Mental Borders

ADV93: Art Direction
CONFINED
In this brief, I was asked to compose a story by using a series of 6 photos. The theme of this story was about borders. What it means to me, what I define it as, and how I'd be able to tell this story.
Thought Process
The way I decided to pursue the idea of borders was through the mind of my own and what my mental borders look like.

Depression, for example, stops me from doing daily things such as my school work or fixing my bed. Getting out of bed or getting out of the house.

Anorexia constrains me to eating certain foods during a certain time of day. I'm not free in my own head. It's all bordered up and that's how I went about with this project.
Final Piece
"And the truth is
Sometimes I wish I did disappear."
My idea for Confined was to make it feel uncomfortable. I want the audience to feel what I feel on a daily basis, like it's hard to breathe or that something bad is about to happen. Scratches on a blackboard. Etched out words on a desk. This is what it's like to have mental borders. This is what it feels like to be confined in your own mind.
