Rear Window movie Poster

Not a part of grading but I did this poster for My cinema class and wanted to add it on here.  I was tasked with creating a poster for rear window and here are some of my design decisions. Make text feel like it was apart of the wall and not just added on. In order to do this, I used a chalk themed font and it worked.   As for the reasoning for the background my goal was to one make sure that was the main character Jeffrey’s was viewing was included and two to make sure the villain was at least foreshadowed.  To do that one both main characters of off to the side in their attire from later in the movie they are looking shocked at the image in the center. Above them is a rose symbolizing the love story that also takes place during the film. To create the picture in the center I used a mask in order to remove the color so I can continue the theme of a murder mystery. Next to this picture is a zoomed in shot of the wedding ring in the movie a bit of a spoiler but this is the clue to “who done it’ aspect of a mystery so  I thought that would work.  To make the stars title and director stand out I used yellow text for these aspects such as staring and Alfred Hitchcock. I think this out of Graphic design project went well so I wanted to include it on Behance as something fun.
