The goal of this site is to present opportunities for instruction in traditional art techniques, and to provide a more formal atmosphere for networking with other artists. This small scale venture allows 3-4 Art Instructors to provide instructional content and a forum for connecting with their students and the students to connect with each other. 

Southern Draw focuses primarily on drawing, painting, and networking. The initial idea is that if you can master these three, you can be a successful and working artist with very little additional instruction (because you'll be able to teach yourself everything else). 

The search text is 'I want to learn...' to give motivation to the learning process.

The title text, "Let's Draw" rotates between "Let's Draw,' Let's Paint,' and 'Let's Connect' to emphasize the main focus of the site.

The color palette is warm because warm is a more preferable color for artists.

The three main boxes emphasize a featured or popular content in drawing, painting, and networking. They also each have icons that connects to the side menu and the associated content areas.

The left icon menu is persistent (it stays put while scrolling) and it allows you to make connections between the content provided and the icon displayed (in both design and color). 

The language is consistent with the rotating title at the top, so that each section focuses on the action 'Let's ______". 

There are a maximum of six 'most popular' videos per instructional section to provide a single page experience (you don't have to go to another page to find the library) and also to keep the design concise and uniform.

The video learning page has a Title, subtitle, and category icon. The 'download practice files' is in a consistent location and color for every video.
