It started with the product study where the observation on cooking process and the vessels were made. Tried to understand the sequence of operation like igniting the gas stove and etc. Visited different users from different age group to understand the basic feedbacks and the understanding of the product from their point of view. Problems like navigation to the burner positions, navigation of stove, placing vessels onto the stove grills and etc were critical and to be solved. Some of the problems like burn marks due to no proper feedback of temperature to be handled on priority.
The solution has different features to overcome most of the problems. The body of stove is made in such way that fluids do not stay on it and it is also helpful to find grill on it. Grill has guides where only igniter to be placed and pushed. Due to the guide it stops at burner which eliminates the physical contact of the user to the burner which eventually reduces the risk of hazards. Also has an electronic circuit based on thermostat feature which starts generating sound when burner and its surrounding area is above hazardous temperature. Sound is generated in cycles which reduced the irritation to ears.
