I remember being very excited about basketball during this time. The Hawks were having a good year, and I was able to go to a handful of games and see them pull off some amazing wins, like when they came back to beat the Bulls after being down by 30 points. I really loved working on this spot. The plan was to piggyback on some of the College ball momentum from March by using the iconic bracket layout that is associated with March Madness as a vehicle for the Hawks' remaining regular season schedule. Modeling the brackets and the match-ups in Cinema 4D was a blast. This spot was designed to have interchangeable sections for the game match-ups, so we could just render new frames for the match-ups and drop them in during compositing. That worked great, and 3 versions of this spot with different match-ups went on air. The stadium shot at the end was also done in Cinema using a camera projection technique with a still photo.
