The first prototype faced problems with stability. Torque from the edge of the tabletop twisted the legs easily. To solve this problem, the legs and crossbraces were created using soft maple instead of plywood. The legs were also adjusted to be thicker, wider, shorter, and spred further from the center. These adjustments resulted in a much more stable design. Changes were made to the feet at the base of the table as well as the corners of the tabletop in order to benefit both aesthetics and ergonomics.
