Design modules

The assignment:
Pick 5 cards, with the first 2 cards you need to make an environment. You will be making this in 3D and then do a paint-over. Use the 3D model to see how you need to draw the shading. You can choose the software yourself.

My projects:
- Wild West
- In the sky
- Religious building
- Exploration vehicle
- Backpack
ENVIRONMENT
Moodboards
Styleboard environment
Environment moodboard
Concept ideas:

My idea is to make a wild west themed village on the top of some very high rocks/mountains. At first I wanted to make the houses on the side but I changed my mind and made them on the top. I want to make a wooden balcony on the side for the flying vehicles (flying motorcycles, which will be made later in the progress).

Concept sketches:
3D models (Blender)
Composition: 1/3
Lighting: Natural (sun) & campfire
Line art & first colouring
Feedback I got from friends, teachers and classmates;

These is some feedback I got after I finished most of the environment, this is not about the picture above, that's a "sketch"
- The stone needs to be browner instead of gray. More western feel.
- Make something else in front of the camera, behind the bush. I made a tree to add depth.
- The mountains and rocks need more shading, they look very flat.
- The clouds need some layers, they also look very flat.
End product
