Sloepdelen offers the service to rent a small boat to navigate through the canals of Amsterdam.

Objective: Increase the brand awareness of Sloepdelen in the city of Amsterdam.

Our insight is that people don't want the hassle of maintaining their own boat. By showing the cons of owning a boat the comfort of renting a boat with Sloepdelen is emphasized. We do so by placing signs next to boats that are in desperate need of maintenance. The signs asks people passing by to inform the owner of the existence of Sloepdelen.

Signs are placed next to boats that are in desperate need of maintenance.
Phase 1
Signs are placed on existing old boats that are badly in need of maintenance. The signs encourage people to call the owner of the boat. If you dial the number you get the voicemail of the agitated owner telling you he already knows about Sloepdelen and the benefits:

This is the voicemail of Hans. Please leave a message after the beep.... Oh and if you are one of those people that want to tell me about Sloepdelen. I already know it's easy, low cost, eco friendly, comfortable, quiet and always good to go. If you have something else to tell me please leave a message after the beep.

After two weeks the sign has changed, the boat is now for sale.
Phase 2
After two weeks the sign has changed. The boat is now for sale. This directly appeals to people who are looking for a boat and are potential clients. If you call the owner, he now thanks all the people who told him about Sloepdelen:

This is the voicemail of Hans. I would like to thank the people who told me about Sloepdelen. No more bailing out water for me haha....just the pleasures of boating. Oh and if you're interested in my old boat, please leave a message after the beep
