Moving Forward Poster Competition - Graphic Design

Submission for the Moving Forward Poster Competition- In Graphic Design class, I worked on two different poster ideas for the 2021 UCDA Moving Forward competition. In their "Call for Entries" section they state:

"One of the many potential desired outcomes of design can be to motivate or inspire. Student designers have the power to encourage viewers to move forward in their lives—toward big dreams and lifelong goals or by simply enjoying the beauty that surrounds us.
This year, the Moving Forward student poster design contest helps promote positive thinking by enabling students to design an original poster for print or online use."

The first poster features a carousel horse "moving forward" from the merry-go-round. The meaning behind this poster is to inspire people to move from a place where they feel stuck or unhappy, and go on a journey to a better mindset or place.

The second poster features a runner running up a mountain/incline with words of inspiration following their sneaker. The meaning behind this poster is to keep reminding yourself that you are amazing, and that you got this. These words of wisdom can help you move forward, while taking on some of life's toughest obstacles.
