NIGHTMARE

19th September 2021.
John’s back in his apartment from how his life these days goes by, coffee, walk, lunch, sleep, walk, today stands different because John would skip the TV, for tomorrow awaits with an assignment John has been waiting for ever since he started travelling for pictures of landscapes around the world yet to be seen.

20th September 2021.
In an early morning flight successfully caught, and just a few hours to reach Paro, John reaches for his camera for it’s not every day that you get to fly close enough to some of the world’s highest peaks and see them in all their glorious beauty. Mount Everest, Lhotse, Mount Makalu and Kanchenjunga. To record these majestic cones of rocks standing tall, as tough, one calls by the names starting with Mounts left John gleeing in awe, a joy felt and worked towards by John since 11 years.

As soon as he lands to realise it's Monday, work for him has already begun, given the pursuit he’s going to follow for the next 10 day here, to shoot the landscapes of Bhutan. John hurries to a cab and gets going towards Tiger’s Nest, his first destination.

26th November 2021.
John wakes up to a nightmare, into the darkness he now calls being awake, to a thought, of how dreams are just a world full of people unable to record them because of this absence of camera as a tool, and how the world for him, is a dream he is never going to wake up from. His memories have become fragile, like memories of dreams are held, without a record and short lived. Is imagination enough ?

Pictures have now become audio notes.
