Here's my first fashion creation project. In few words, it was requested to make some researches about a brand, here Valentino, and thanks to these, create a new capsule collection with a new concept and a new personal vision for the brand.
ELEMENTI RICORRENTI
These are the pattern elements of the brand that will help us through the creation of the capsule, without forgetting the DNA of Valentino.
ARISTOFANE
The new capsule is based on the Aristophanes' myth. Soulmates were, long ago, one and only body composed of two heads, four legs and four arms, this entity was the personification of the completeness. Because of this state of full happiness, Gods started to get upset as these soulmates were competing with the power of divinity and they chose to divide them.
So this one complete body became two lost souls, that were made to seek desperately for their other half.

The project isn't about the suffering of the feeling of being incomplete, but rather the hope of finding our other half. Called "Symbiosis", the capsule is trying to conceptualize the reunion of the two lovers.
FASHION FILM
Before showing the collection, I idealize a Fashion Film, as a teaser, to give the idea of what we could expect during the show.
Classical, theater, mystery and intensity are the key-words.
RIFERIMENTI VISIVI
To be able to create this capsule, we based our concept on three different artists :
Adela Andrea, who's a light sculptor - Iris Van Herpen, who's a fashion designer - Rino Gaetano, Italian song writer and singer.
We chose these referents because the concept of sculpture gets along with the idea of the reunited soulmates : there's no "one body", the symbiosis become an human sculpture. The lights are the expression of the shine that is given to people that found their soulmate. Being two is irradiating the whole world.

FORME & MATERIALI
To base the project coherently, we chose natural shapes to support the creation, in particular : flowers.
