Title Project :
We Need Imagination Now More Than Ever

Rationale
This illustration is based on the article by Martin Reeves and Jack Fuller that was published on 10th April 2020. The concept behind this illustration is about what people imagine and what they see are different. Human's imagination is vast, anything they see can be totally different in their mind because of imagination. The medium through which we perceive the world is represented by the eyes in the centre. Eyes are the window or the platform for our soul. What we see, which is input signal, the artwork shows a little boy pushing the huge stone forward fortunately, and come out with a happy face and hugging a diamond. The characters in the picture represent ourselves. Although what we see with our eyes is that we are pushing the stone very hard, where the stone represents the obstacles in life, with our imagination, it can be us holding the diamond happily. The both side arrows represent the flow from what we see as the input, then process through our imagination, lastly the product from our imagination as the output. The word 'progression' in this artwork means the process during the imagination. When we saw something bad or ugly, it might affect our mood but with imagination, it can turn into image we love. Therefore, the EKG between the gears represents our mood. The light turquoise green represents wisdom and it is related to my topic imagination. Hence, I choose this colour scheme in my artwork.
