Waffle chart with flat icons.
A waffle chart is a grid with squares, cells or icons, where each cell represents a the same number. Through using each whale icon as a representation of one single whale, I wanted to convey the shocking low number of Killer Whales in captivity that are still alive today.
The colour of the whale body and tummy represents whether the whale is dead or alive and whether it was wild-born or captive-bred.
