2022 Daewoo Espero Electric

Concept car based on the Daewoo Espero, produced from 1990 to 1999 in South Korea, Russia, Poland, and Romania.
The car was not entirely Daewoo's own development, designed by Bertone's design studio based on an Opel Ascona C (GM J-body) platform, it was purchased by Daewoo and was first shown at the Seoul International Auto Show in August 1990.
The D-class car had good equipment for that time, sufficiently powerful engines and a spacious interior, but its quality was unstable, and corrosion resistance left much to be desired.
Until 1996, the model was produced only in South Korea, in 1996, almost simultaneously, the assembly of the car started in Poland, Russia and Romania, where the car lasted the least on the assembly line, already in 1998, Daewoo Leganza, Daewoo Nubira and Daewoo Tico were launched instead.
Daewoo Espero Electric is a modern electric car that inherited the body features and the name of the departed gasoline model, but is a completely different car on its own electric platform. Also, unlike its predecessor, it's a liftback.
