Sunrise Coffee Co. Instant Coffee Box Design

Sunrise Coffee Company is an organic coffee shop chain that sells their own coffee products. They believe in giving their customers the best quality coffee and use beans that are ethically sourced from Central and South America. For this project, I have created a box design for Sunrise Coffee Co.'s instant coffee packets.
I wanted the box design to be simple. I chose the Oatmeal paper to give a more natural and organic feel. The main focus of the design is the rising sun that surrounds the name of the product. The sun fades into 3 wavy lines at the bottom which I repeatedly use throughout the box. I chose a yellow color to use on these design elements. To keep the simplicity, I used this yellow minimally throughout the design.
What makes Sunrise Coffee Co. different is its organic coffee products. They value using natural ingredients and farming practices so they can provide the best quality to their customers. The back of my box design describes what makes Sunrise Coffee Co. different. I also included icons such as "Non-GMO," "Organic," and "Sustainably Sourced" to stand out to consumers as a healthier option.
The instructions on how to make instant coffee are fairly simple, so I decided to design icons rather than just writing out the instructions. I included this on one side of the box. The other side includes the logo, name of product, and the barcode.
Since my focus on this project was simplicity, I wanted a logo that was consistent with this concept. I knew I wanted to incorporate the sun into my logo and saw the perfect opportunity to do this around the top of the "S" since it is shaped like the top half of a sun. I put rays around it, which gave the logo the pop it needed and could be used as an icon. I used Fave as the main script font for the word "Sunrise" and used a Sans Serif for "Coffee Co."
