For Marie Claire
Shooting of the Russian pop star Valery, for the magazine Marie Claire. In this shooting, our goal was to radically transform the traditional and calm image of the singer. My responsibilities included creating an idea, recruiting a team of 8 specialists, lighting and retouching. To create a new image, I decided to rely on elements of futurism and retro-futurism, and to use the elements  of these styles in clothes, set design, makeup, hair. Together with the hairdresser, we developed sketches of wigs for shooting, since, in my opinion, a haircut plays a huge role for a sharp change in image, and we also developed makeup sketches with a makeup artist. We decided to choose a color scheme in a cold white-blue range, as these shades suit the artist very well. In the first setup for lighting, we used ASTERA LED lighting as a design set, which creates the effect of space "from the future" and we removed the racks and fixtures for appliances in post-production. In the second setup, we used a projection of the photos of the singer herself as a background, for this purpose we previously shot her with a blue gradient makeup in the central part of her face.
