Symbols & Narrative: Frankenstein

Dr. Frankenstein  leaves for his wedding while leaving his friend to watch Frankenstein.  The monster kills the doctor’s friend, and ventures through the countryside looking for Doctor Frankenstein. On his way he meets a girl and plays a game with her throwing flowers in the water. He mistakenly thinks that she will float as well, and accidentally drowns the girl. The monster flees the scene, upset and confused.
