The goal was to create a symbol that communicated the word Rationalism. Having different definitions of the word, it was decided to take terms within this definition such as: balance, experience, knowledge and logic.
Sketching Ideas
Creating thumbnails, sketching the ideas, along with doing some research was key to determined what was the best approach to the word it had to communicate.
This was the idea that had the best concept, however, the final design was not determined yet. The idea of the symbol was to be able to follow the order and balance of what rationalism is, however, adding some movement to the symbol was key to reflect different approaches of the word by different people.
