Campfire Stool

This campfire stool was meant to be aesthetic while providing a place to sit. It has holes for small objects ands well as meant to be able to rock on.

First the design was created on Fusion360 using contour and pockets to create the appearance of a monstera leaf. Then 10 panels were cut using the Crawlbot. 4 of the panels were cut having the leaf shape while the other six just had the outside shape.
The above pictures demonstrate how the panels looked like when they were cut. Any taps were cut off using an oscillator saw.
In order to paint stool it was important to seal it. Mdf is very porous and can absorb a lot of paint if not sealed.
After sealing, each panel was spray-painted brown on each side. All 10 panels in total used 2 cans of paint.
After the paint had dried the leaf was painted. Two different kinds of green paint were used to create depth.
Afterwards the spacers were placed in between the panels. Then metal rods were inserted and secured with M5 nuts.
This is the final product.
