In the fall of 2012, I entered the eBay Hackathon at Cornell University. At the event, I met 2 other engineers and we decided to form a team. We created a functioning game and were actually able to play it in our final presentation. We decided to create Apples to Apples with Ebay. Apple to Apples is a word-association game, but instead of humorously associating an adjective with nouns, we made the object of the game humorously associating an adjective with products pulled from eBay.
I handled all of the product management and design, working hands-on with an engineer in crafting the game for 24 hours straight. I saw what goes into producing a product from start to finish and at the micro level, and how engineering, design, and product management work together. I am primarily a designer, but I also drive concepts and production.
