Boris Vian - Mood Indigo
For this project I redesigned my all time favorite book, Boris Vian's Mood Indigo. When I read this book almost a decade ago it immediately became my favourite. I also started collecting different editions in various languages - so this book was an obvious choice for this project.
I decided to keep the cover and illustrations quite simple, opting to only use black and white throughout to contrast with the quite vivid and abstract imagery of the book. While the drawings were somewhat inspired by the film adaptation, I wanted to remain more authentic, while choosing scenes that added just enough to the story itself.
Overall this project was very personal for me, as I got to add something that I designed to my growing collection of my favourite book.
