I started working on album covers for my demo album. I started with a googled photo of my guitar and Kurt Cobain's signature Jag-Stang in line with each other with transparency effects but decided that if I want to use pictures of my guitar, I should wait until next week. I am installing new pickups in my guitar this weekend and will also be using those to re-record my songs, including ones I have learned since the last time I recorded anything. My guitar will look different because of the different pickups, which I got in black so that they stand out against the white pickguard. I took a photo of Nevermind, the album that gave Nirvana its fame, and edited it so that instead of a baby and money, it's a dog and a tennis ball. I used content-aware fill, curves, and learned all the different text effects and curves and waves that photoshop has. I decided to name it Whatever, which is almost like Nevermind. I did this just in case this is what I want to use, I am only playing songs by Nirvana, so I think it works well. I also used filters and used a brushstroke style filter to give the cover texture and make it stand out.

I learned how to create and design album covers. I looked at different covers, colors, inspirations, and everything I could think of. I started with a redesign of Nevermind, using content-aware fill, learning how to use it to its best ability, and some tricks that helped get rid of the original parts of the cover, so I could put a dog and a tennis ball instead of a baby and money. The next week, I had taken some pictures of my guitar, after putting my new pickups in my guitar. I learned to use the threshold effect, how to control it, and found some cool and chaotic images that I also used the threshold on, as well as adjusting colors, exposure and small things like that. I found some very good images, text and mixed them all together, used a lot of masking, opacity effects on the brushes and images, and outer glow. I used outer glow on the Bleach my mind text. I got the idea for that name because my covers are from the albums Bleach and Nevermind.
