Background:
Octomarls (Marls for short) can be found in relatively shallow water. Their primary diet is composed of shrimp and tiny fish. They are larger than a mouse—approximately the size of a typical hamster. They produce mucus beneath their webbed arms; this resembles a clear slime. In the presence of larger creatures, they attempt to hide behind sea plants. When threatened, these palm-sized creatures scare easily, shooting out brown or pink ink. They are timid and only feel comfortable around other Marls.
