Nest of the Kaka
2020 University Turangawaewae project.
A billboard installation exploring the place of which I feel most at "home". Its histories with culture and land. What has changed and what is in the now.

"Ngaio. Wellington’s bush-clad valley watched over by Mt Kaukau. Once a logging community, Ngaio was originally called Tarikaka meaning nest of the kaka. Today, it's popular with families wanting to set up their own nests close to the city. That’s what my parents did and where my sisters and I have grown up – along with the kakas that have now returned."
