Progetti passati #02_Yakan Pattern Design (2021)
The course project consisted in creating a textile pattern that embodied a culutural tradition of making clothes or house upholstery, to propose a textile fashion design solutions. Through initial research, we studied the textile market trends, regarding materials to bring to life in modern and sustainaible means a specific textile tradition.
Mine took as reference the Yakan weaving, a traditional Philippine technique.
