The Last Road Car

This is a futuristic vision of the last car for the road, before people transport goes completely airborne. But the main point of this project is to present the idea of a central autonomous management system.

Every car is connected to the advanced internet network. One central system controls each car. It is based on an accurate projection of all roads and precise location of all traffic participants.

Each car sends data to the server: exact location, destination, distance from surrounding objects, battery condition, possible malfunctions...

In the reverse direction, the system controls each car. Its primary function is that the cars do not collide with each other, also that there is no collision with other surrounding objects and that it perfectly guides the car through the lanes on the road.

Once the destination is entered, the system automatically selects the route to avoid traffic jams and reach the destination as quickly as possible.

People are not allowed to drive cars on public roads. Also, older cars are not allowed to participate in traffic until they are fitted with an autonomous system.

Since servers completely control traffic, road accidents are very rare, so cars drive at high speeds. A similar system controls flying vehicles as well.

This is the ultimate solution for autonomous driving. Cars are connected to the server, so they are equipped only with a basic package of cameras and sensors. Since there are no traffic accidents, vehicles do not have safety equipment, so they are much cheaper and very light.

The roads are equipped with wireless battery charging systems and solar panels, so the cars are completely ecological, and do not need batteries for a long range. The electric motors are located in the wheels of the car, so the space in the cabin is maximized.

The entire communication with the vehicle is reduced to voice commands and interactive hologram projection.

The shell is made of aerodynamically shaped smart transparent composite material.
The exterior is also equipped with an integral system of hidden holographic projectors, which enables a completely new approach to aesthetics. The passenger can instantly change the look of the car according to taste, mood and inspiration. It's like changing profile pictures on social media.

Due to the easy transformation of the appearance of the vehicle, I named this project MAGAIA. The name is a blend of the words Magic and Gaia. This gives it a name that sounds similar to the word for magic in some languages.
