Kings & Priests is a Christian clothing brand.

For their first collection, I was tasked to illustrate the designer's concept and take photographs of the collection.

One of the designer's biggest inspirations was Ecclesia, a Christian band. She showed me this photo, and explained that she wanted to apply this concept, but for Christians and how society views them.

She wanted Christian clothing to authentically represent them: creative, stylish and fun. Taking inspiration from current street style trends, we wanted something both boys and girls would actually love to style and wear.

One of the designs in their collection is the Childlike Hoodie. It is a white hoodie featuring doodles, notes, patches and playfully smeared paint. 

To start, I decided on the placement of the elements by doodling on prints of the hoodie.

The writings are the designer's favorite verses, as well as notes from her first devotion notebook when she was much younger.

After that, it was time to draw and paint on the garments. I used pen ink, fabric paint and fabric pen.

Since they are all hand drawn and hand painted, the hoodie is made to order at @kingsandpriests on Instagram.
