Using themes of seismic shift and metamorphosis, I created a collage-inspired poster relating responses from people during the COVID-19 pandemic with imagery of natural disasters - with the express purpose of relating humanitarian crises with public health crises. Through a series of digital distortions, the paneling becomes confused and distorted, speaking to the mass amount of misinformation perpetuated during the pandemic. The project was inspired by the cicada; an insect with a particularly gruelling metamorphosis process.
