The Big Lebowski- Miniature Set Design- Post Modernism
This miniature set design is in 2 in. scale and based off the famous Sheats- Goldstein house in LA which is featured in the movie "The Big lebowski" as "Jackie Treehorn's House"
This set was created as a project relating a scene from a movie to an important era of Art. We decided to compare Post-Modernism to the way The Dude lives his life, seeing as though he does create his own reality in a sense.
Feautring materials such as Lucite, Dowels, Wood, Foam Core, and even a silicone based mix to give the illusion of water in the pool.
I made the tree's out of paper, and put miniature LED lights around them. Miniature Succulents and grass used for lanscaping and of course, 1/4 in. scale bowling pins to hint at the movie's theme.
