The history of pashmina extends the span of centuries. The kashmiri Pashmina Shawls were first presented abroad over 700 years ago. Gradually, these shawls have retained their value in the international market.

Raahi, the authentic pashmina involves collecting the fine hair of pashmina goat, sorting   of raw Cashmere, spinning, weaving and creating a world class level shawl. Indeed, the entire process is both extensive and thorough.

Cashmere is a delicate form of wool and known for its softness and exclusiveness. it has to be woven manually so that the delicate fiber of Cashmere wool does not face the harsh processing of machine. Finer the thread, the finer the shawl.

The Handblock printing is done on to the fabric. Each individual design has a name. 

In this process, the use of temporary natural black ink which is hold onto the hand, and the the block is patted several times onto the hand before it is pressed onto the fabric. It is a very fast and accurate process.

The Jamawar shawl can take high quality time, which is fully hand embroidered. It can take upto 3-4 years. Our Collection Raahi is one of the masterpiece which includes quality Crafman working to give the lustrous feel.

The shawl will be finally ready after cold wash in mild detergent solution to remove the dye and dirt that will have gathered over the time of production.

After drying and pressing they are finally ready for the sale.
