The Demon Queen of Fungus for the '13 Keep on the Borderlands event book.
This was a commission piece of cover art for the non-for-profit Medieval swordfighting group, Amtgard. These event books each year are based on old Dungeons and Dragons manuals. This depicts a queen who has taken over a temple above and resides in the depths. This is an original work and composition simply based on an idea. My intention was to make her like poison in her colors demeanor. Her action may be passive, but she is sure that she will make her mark, and therefore has nothing to fear.
