the project was born from the necessity of "comunità nuova" to expand ITS headquarters with a new MULTIFUNCTIONAL space. the new pavillion is placed in continuity with the existing north-west building, WHICH hosts all those ACTIVITIES that are related TO the COMMUNITY, and the goal of the intervention is to connect at the existing, increasing common spaces of the hub, and at the same time to connect it to the surrounding ENVIRONMENT and district for create a new meeting point.
the main topic of the project development is the dematerialization: this principle allows the volume to open to the surrounding ENVIRONMENT through a sequence of concrete portals that are progressively thinned, leaving space for light cuts made by long windows.
