Ballyteige Lough is a tidal estuary and nature reserve on the leeward side of The Burrow near Kilmore Quay.
This shed is next to the estuary and I see it every day. It is a source of fascination for me. At first glance, it appears as a blot on the landscape; a brutal industrial intrusion into a scene of natural beauty. But, closer inspection reveals how nature is slowly reclaiming the shed.
I am interested in the physical form of the shed – its structure, lines and colour. And I am fascinated by the parts of the shed that are decaying.
